SAN DIEGO, CA (10/24/2022) -- Grossmont College's Aly Guise and Palomar College's Marius Anquetil have been named this week's Athletes of the Week after recording massive numbers last week for their respective teams.

Guise hit 438% in a win vs Palomar College with eight kills only one error on 16 attempts and put up two block assists. Additionally, Guise dominated at the net in a big 3-0 sweep over Southern California #13 ranked MiraCosta to keep the Griffins undefeated in conference play at 10-0. She had six kills and no errors on 10 attempts hitting 600% on the night and put up two solo blocks and two block assists in one of their most competitive conference matches. 

On Tuesday afternoon, Anquetil had a 3-minute hat trick against San Diego City as the Comets defeated the Knights 8-1. He then pitched in two more goals against San Diego Mesa as the Comets cruised to a 5-1 win over the Olympians. Anquetil has been a spark off the bench for the Comets this season.
