The MSJC beach volleyball team hosted the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Pairs Championships last Wednesday and Friday on the Menifee Campus.

The Eagles had five pairs competing in the tournament that brought together the 7 schools in the PCAC.

On Wednesday it was a full day as the 35 total duos battled down into the quarter-final round.  The MSJC's pairs of Megan Gajda and Trysta Vincelli as well as Anna Ayala and Tracy Blanchard both lost tough opening round matches.  Lauren Cummings & Carley Kruse as well as Mckenna Conklin & Brooklyn Jimenez both teamed up to win first round matches.  Conklin and Jimenez also picked up a second round win advancing them into the round of 16.  In the round of 16 the pair lost a hard fought match to end up one win away from advancing to the 3C2A Pairs Regional Tournament.

The Eagles' pair of Josephine Springer and Brooklynn Thomas earned a bye into the round of 16 that they earned during the regular season.  The two easily won their match and advanced to the quarter-finals.  The win in the round of 16 ensured their spot in this weekend's pairs Regional Tournament.  Springer & Thomas came back on Friday and in a quarter-final match against the top seed in the tournament and fell in an exciting three set match.

The bracked for the pairs Regional will be announced later this week.
