August 25, 2023 - In an exhilarating season opener, L.A. Mission College's Women's Volleyball team displayed dominance on the court, clinching a resounding 3-0 victory against San Diego City. The faceoff took place at Cuyamaca College at 2:00 PM.

The scores of 25-12, 25-17, and 25-11 in favor of L.A. Mission speak volumes about the one-sided nature of the contest. L.A. Mission's players showcased their skill and tenacity from the very beginning, ensuring San Diego City could never really gain a foothold in the match.

Temple Vasquez led the charge for L.A. Mission with an impressive 11 kills from 21 attempts, making her one of the standout performers of the day. Meanwhile, Hilda Zahedi demonstrated her prowess from the service line, recording 5 service aces and contributing 14 digs, showcasing her defensive skills.
