They say you learn the most in sports after a loss and it's not about what happened yesterday, but what you do tomorrow. After a 3-1 loss against  Grossmont College earlier this month, head coach Bobbie Jo Stall-Vest had a message for her team, 'acknowledge the facts about what went wrong, then move forward and get back to work.'

Although the Olympians dropped the match, and early bragging rights for first place in the conference, Stall-Vest believes the loss could be a blessing in disguise. "It exposed our weaknesses that needed to be addressed. We are now able to focus on the issues and give it a sense of urgency. It's better we figure that out now instead of later."

Not only has the team responded, they are starting to dominate once again after sweeping Cuyamaca College (3-0) this evening. Since October 4th, the Olympians have not dropped a set, winning 15 sets consecutively.

"The team definitely responded in a good way,' adds Stall-Vest. "We have a lot of great leadership on the team that is rallying the troops and making sure of that. We have no time to feel sorry for ourselves, we have to continue to work in the weight room and do everything that is expected of all our student-athletes."

The team will travel to Palomar College on Wednesday, October 25, followed by hosting Southwestern College on Friday, October 27. And what is circled on everyones calendar, the Olympians will once again get a crack at the Griffins as they travel to Grossmont College on Friday, November 3.
