Women's volleyball starts the season with five game win streak

The SD Mesa College women's volleyball team secured its fifth consecutive win to start the season with a four-set victory (16-25, 25-20, 25-16, 25-16) over  Santa Barbara City College on Saturday, September 2.

Sophomore Kailyn Jager is proving herself to be someone to keep an eye on this season. Jager currently leads the team and conference in kills per set with 5.18 and total kills 88 (104.5 total). 

Freshman Jaiden Mojica (Chula Vista, CA / Bonita Vista HS) has made an immediate impact having already tallied 194 assists and her 11.41 assists per set is tops in the conference. Mojica also leads the team with a total of 38 digs. 

The Olympians will be back home on Wednesday, September 6 as they take on Ventura College at 6:00 p.m.
