SAN MARCOS, CA (10/4/2023) -- Palomar College women's volleyball extended their win streak on Wednesday night with a 3-0 sweep over Imperial Valley College.
The Comets continued their trend of dominating in the first set, winning 25-10, and playing tough in the second set (25-16). Imperial Valley gave the Comets a challenge in the third set, but the Comets came out on top with a 25-20 win.
Freshman Delina Becker led the team with 11 kills, while Sonsi Jarvis finished with seven. Hope Ihem and Holly Grady each had five. Sophomore libero Bailey Prieto totaled a team-high seven digs on the night. Sophomore setter Mayara Swillens finished with 21 assists and Grady finished with two blocks.
Palomar improves to 6-8 overall and 4-2 in conference play. They will host PCAC opponent Cuyamaca College on Friday night in the Dome. First serve is scheduled for 5 p.m.
