
SAN DIEGO, CA (11/15/2024) -- The Pacific Coast Athletic Conference (PCAC) is excited to announce the Athletes of the Month for October 2024. These student-athletes displayed exceptional talent, hard work, and dedication across seven sports, leading their teams to success and setting the standard for athletic excellence in the PCAC.
Men's Cross Country:
Ian Rosen – San Diego Mesa College
Ian had an outstanding month, winning the Manny Bautista Invite with a time of 21:19.0 and finishing 2nd at the PCAC Championships with a stellar 20:41.6.
Women's Cross Country:
Joelle Tonne – San Diego Mesa College
Joelle impressed with a 6th-place finish at the Manny Bautista Invite (19:14.5) and a 2nd-place finish at the PCAC Championships (19:07.8).
Men's Soccer:
Jamesley Exantus, Forward – San Diego City College
Jamesley powered his team with seven goals, five assists, and two game-winning goals. His hat trick and two assists in a 7-2 victory over Imperial Valley College highlighted a month in which San Diego City went 5-1-1.
Women's Soccer:
Lena Bachman, Forward – MiraCosta College
Lena was unstoppable, scoring 11 goals and adding seven assists for 29 points, including three game-winning goals. She led MiraCosta to an undefeated October and secured a conference title with a thrilling 3-2 win over Southwestern.
Men's Water Polo:
Caleb Hogle – Palomar College
Caleb demonstrated all-around excellence, tallying 38 goals, 22 assists, 27 steals, and 46 exclusions drawn. He also shone in a 21-12 victory over Southwestern, scoring six goals.
Women's Water Polo:
Camille Seiley – Grossmont College
Camille excelled in the pool, contributing 34 goals, 13 assists, 17 steals, and 26 exclusions drawn. Her six-goal performance against Chaffey College secured a commanding 17-2 win.
Women's Volleyball:
Janell Spires, Outside Hitter – Palomar College
Janell dominated on the court with 103 kills, 14 service aces, 114 digs, and 11 blocks. Her standout match included 21 kills and 26 digs against Southwestern.
