SAN DIEGO, CA (11/21/2024) -- The opening round of the 3C2A SoCal Regional Soccer Championships delivered thrilling action, with six conference teams advancing to the next stage. Here's how the matches played out:

Men's Results:

  • Cuyamaca 2, Palomar 1
    Cuyamaca fought back from an early deficit, with goals from Ali Almaliki and Esteban Salais sealing their spot in the next round.

  • MiraCosta 2-2 (3-2 PKs), San Bernardino Valley
    In a nail-biting finish, MiraCosta edged past San Bernardino Valley in penalty kicks after regulation and two overtime periods. Goals from Charaboy Inriestra and Dominik Wicks kept MiraCosta alive.

Women's Results:

  • MiraCosta 2, Bakersfield 0
    A strong second-half performance led MiraCosta to victory, with late goals from Heidi Alarcon and Jazmyne Arispe.
