
SAN DIEGO, CA (11/21/2024) -- The California Community College Athletic Association (3C2A) has announced the playoff seedings for women's volleyball, and the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference (PCAC) is well-represented in the postseason.
San Diego Mesa Secures No. 2 Seed
San Diego Mesa College, the PCAC champion, earned the No. 2 seed and a bye in the opening round. Mesa will host the winner of the No. 15 Ventura College vs. No. 18 Mt. San Jacinto College play-in match. The match will take place on Tuesday, November 26, on Mesa's home court as they look to continue their impressive season.
Palomar, Grossmont, and MiraCosta Round Out PCAC Playoff Entrants
Three other PCAC teams also secured playoff berths after finishing in a three-way tie for second place in the conference standings.
- Palomar College: Awarded the No. 8 seed, Palomar will host No. 9 Santa Monica College in a first-round matchup on Tuesday, November 27.
- Grossmont College: As the No. 11 seed, Grossmont will travel to No. 6 Cerritos College for their first-round match, also set for Tuesday, November 27.
- MiraCosta College: MiraCosta received the No. 17 seed and will compete in a play-in match against No. 16 Bakersfield College on Saturday, November 23. The winner will advance to face No. 1 Long Beach City College on Tuesday, November 26.
