
The Pacific Coast Athletic Conference (PCAC) proudly highlights the top-performing student-athletes for February 2025. These standout individuals showcased their talent across nine sports, delivering clutch performances, setting personal bests, and leading their teams to victory.
Men's Track & Field: Ian Rosen (San Diego Mesa College)
Ian Rosen continues his impressive run for Mesa, notching multiple first-place finishes. He won the 800m (1:55.42) and helped lead Mesa to victory in the 4x400 (3:13.97) at the Ron Kamaka Open. At the RCC Early Bird meet, he added wins in the 4x800 (8:01.49) and the Distance Medley Relay (10:29.27), while earning a 3rd place individual finish in the 1500m (4:07.59).
Women's Track & Field: Ashley Nash (San Diego Mesa College)
Ashley Nash was a force on the track and in the field, with a 1st place finish in the 4x100 at both the RCC Early Bird (48.84) and Ron Kamaka Open (48.04). She also placed 2nd in the 100m (12.23) and 3rd in Long Jump (5.34m), showcasing her all-around athleticism.
Baseball:
Nico Newhan (Grossmont College)
Newhan lit up February with a .456 batting average, racking up 26 hits in 57 at-bats, including 7 home runs and 17 RBIs. A key offensive weapon, he consistently delivered clutch hits for the Griffins.
Avery Anderson (San Diego Mesa College)
On the mound, Anderson was dominant with a 1.45 ERA over 18.2 innings. He posted 13 strikeouts and picked up two wins in five appearances, proving to be a reliable starter in key matchups.
Softball:
Breanna Lutz (Palomar College, INF)
Lutz was nearly unstoppable at the plate, hitting .682 over nine games with 15 hits, 13 RBIs, and 2 home runs. Her consistency helped power the Comets' offense throughout the month.
Maddie Bedolla (Palomar College, Pitcher)
Bedolla was lights-out in the circle, finishing with a 5-0 record and a 0.97 ERA. In 29 innings pitched, she struck out 52 batters and allowed just 4 runs while tossing a complete game shutout.
Men's Swim: Troy Schlage (Southwestern College)
Schlage led the Jaguars with three 1st-place finishes at the Waterman Pentathlon and strong showings at both the Golden West Sprint and Mt. SAC Invitational, including a 4th place in the 100 Back (56.98) and multiple top-ten finishes in the 500 Free and 100 Fly.
Women's Swim: Camille Seiley (Grossmont College)
Seiley dominated the pool in February with multiple 1st-place finishes, including the 50 Free (24.09) and 100 Free (53.52) at the Mt. SAC Invitational. She also claimed gold in both the 50 and 100 Free at the Golden West Sprint and added strong finishes in the Waterman Pentathlon.
Women's Tennis: Angie Palmerin (College Unspecified)
Palmerin impressed at the top of her lineup, securing a dominant 6-1, 6-1 singles win and teaming up for an 8-0 doubles victory against Rio Hondo. Her consistency and poise have made her a leader on the court.
Beach Volleyball: Myah Gomez & Jaiden Mojica (San Diego Mesa College)
This dynamic duo remained undefeated in match play throughout February, leading Mesa with precision teamwork and clutch performances on the sand.
