FLYING PAST GRIFFINS

Fullerton played a non-conference match at Grossmont College on Thursday and grounded the Griffins 7-2.

The win bumps the Hornets over .500 with an overall record of 8-7 as the team prepares for the postseason.

In doubles, FC won two out of the three matches giving the team an advantage going into singles. Winning their matches were Josie Miranda/Destiny Lopez (8-3) and Kristal Mendoza/Kayla Herbert (9-7).

Josie Miranda (6-2, 6-0), Alyssa Lopez (6-2, 6-3), Devyn Zuniga (6-2, 6-4), and Destiny Lopez (6-2, 6-2) all won their singles matches in a team effort that locked down the victory over the Griffins.

Up Next: The Hornets (8-7 overall, 2-4 OEC) will take part in the Orange Empire Conference Tournament that will be played at Fullerton College April 3-4.
