The Santa Monica Corsairs Men's Volleyball team won its first game of the season on Wednesday evening with a 3-1 victory (28-26, 24-26, 25-23, 25-16) over Palomar, bringing its record for the season to 1-2.

The Corsairs were led by "Players of the Game" Freshman setter Ethan Lo from San Jose, California and Sophomore outside hitter Cameron Taylor from Palmdale, California. Lo finished with 44 assists and 6 digs while Taylor had 19 kills and 17 digs, hitting 0.310 for the match. The Corsairs smothering defense resulted in a season-high 64 digs. Wednesday's win marked the first victory for new Head Men's Volleyball Coach Chris Chown.

SMC looks to carry the momentum into Friday's home contest vs Grossmont at 6pm at the Corsair Gym. Show up to support your Corsairs!
