The San Diego Mesa College women's volleyball team continues its quest for a second consecutive state title. After dropping the first set against Mt. San Antonio College 22-25, the Olympians rallied to win the next three sets with scores of 25-17, 25-8, and 25-16.
Jaiden Mojica was named player of the match, contributing 4 aces, 39 assists, and 8 digs. Eva Luna served 5 aces, Halen Kiefer had 13 kills, and Bella Town added 12 kills. Hannah Hetrick hit .500, Lily Rosales hit .467, and Bella Barrios hit .400 and led the team with 5 blocks. The Olympians' defense recorded an impressive 55 digs.
The team will now face Sierra College (27-5) in the Elite 8 on Friday, December 6 at 1:00 p.m.
