Men’s Water Polo Drops Pair at ECC Tournament

TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College dropped a pair of matches as it hosted the El Camino College Mini Tournament on Saturday at the ECC Aquatics Center.

The Warriors fell 12-6 to Palomar followed by a 19-11 defeat at the hands of San Diego Mesa to wrap up the day of action at the pool.

In the loss to Palomar, Marc Bugarin and Heitor Trefilio led the way offensively with two goals apiece. Bugarin added three assists on the day as Blake Klade and Scott Fujiwara both scored to round out the ECC offense. Sam Adams made 14 saves in the loss.

In the loss to San Diego Mesa, Bugarin led the offense with three goals while Klade, Trefilio and Fujiwara all added two goals apiece. Fujiwara also added three assists while Tyler Reed and Trefilio added two helpers apiece. Adams made 3 saves in the loss.

The Warriors will return to action on Friday as they hed to the Mount San Antonio College Tournament for two days and four matches. They will start things off against Southwestern on Friday at 11:15 a.m.
