Comets finish season in second round of Regionals

CITRUS, CA (11/10/2023) -- Palomar College Men's Water Polo advanced to the second day of the 3C2A SoCal Regionals for the first time in recent memory and faced top-seeded Golden West College. The Rustlers got the best of the Comets as Palomar dropped their final game of the season 19-7.
The Comets kept it close in the first quarter ending the first eight minutes 7-3 in favor of the Rustlers, but the balanced scoring attack by Golden West just beat out the Comets as they were outscored 12-4 in the final three quarters of play.
Ian Ritchie led all Comets with three goals on the days to fo along with an assist and a steal. TJ Tutner finished two goals, one assist and one steal. Emmanuel De La Torre finished with one goal, one assist and one steal. Arleigh Williams finished with two assists and one steal. Cody Lovgren finished with two two steals and goalie Tre Turner led the team with three steals.
Palomar finished their season 15-18 overall and 6-1 in conference.
