TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College opened its home season with a 3-0 (25-23, 25-20, 25-13) non-conference loss to visiting Palomar on Friday night at the ECC Gym Complex.
The Warriors' offense struggled as they posted a negative attack percentage, recording 23 kills with 24 errors and that proved costly against a Comets team that attacked at a .278 clip on the night.
Owen Loebs led the Warriors with six kills and Noah Rivera added five with Danny Baten dishing out 10 assists in the losing effort.
For the Comets, Tyler Yraceburn led the way with 12 kills and Sebastian Gomez added 10 with Jacob Rangel dishing out 27 assists.
The Warriors will return to action on Wednesday night at home against Orange Coast with first serve set for 6 p.m.
