MiraCosta's women's volleyball team kicks off the Fall season on Friday, August 25th, at11:00 pm with an away game against the Pasadena City College Lancers from the South Coast Conference. Pasadena is a city in Los Angeles County eleven miles northeast of downtown Los Angeles. It is the most populous city and the primary cultural center of the San Gabriel Valley.
The MiraCosta Spartans ranked twenty-two in the conference last year with a record of 16-7. Pasadena City College came in just above MiraCosta at twenty-one with a record of 14-7. The game will be their season opener as well.
MiraCosta's roster is one-third Freshman members and two-thirds Sophomore members. Many of them live in the Tri-City area but a few come from San Diego, Chula Vista, Murrieta, Bakersfield, and even as far as from Maine.
The Lancer's roster of is almost evenly split between Freshman and Sophomores. Many reside in Arcadia and Diamond Bar with a few coming from Fresno, Sebastopol, Washington state, and South Korea.
