No. 3-ranked Riverside City College continued its offensive prowess on the first day of the RCC Tournament, handing sixth-ranked San Joaquin Delta College a 14-7 loss and capping the day with an 18-4 lopsided victory over Crafton Hills College.
The Tigers improve to 11-1 on the year with their fifth-straight victory.
In the opener, Riverside saw five different Tigers score, led by Yosra Elseifi's six goals. Sofia Mather picked up the win, making six saves in the cage.
Ten different Tigers scored in the nightcap as RCC jumped out to an 8-0 lead before Crafton Hills could get on the board. Kiera Casey and Ava Brown each scored four goals for Riverside, while Kirsten Maag made six saves to preserve the victory for the Tigers.
RCC closes out its two-day tournament on Saturday, taking on No. 2-ranked Santa Barbara College bright and early at 8 a.m. and seventh-ranked Saddleback College at 11:30 a.m.
