Grossmont captures PCAC title

The Grossmont men's volleyball team captured the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference title with a 5-1 record in conference play.  The Griffins will play in the CCCAA state quarterfinals this week.

Grossmont was named the No. 7-seed this morning and will travel to No. 2 El Camino College on Friday for the quarterfinals.  The Warriors finished the regular season 16-2 overall, sharing the Western State Conference title with Long Beach City College.

Grossmont has won or shared 2-of-3 PCAC titles since the conference was realigned before the 2016-17 season.  The Griffins last went to the playoffs in 2017, when they fell to Orange Coast College, 3-1.

Grossmont went 8-9 overall this season, winning all but one match in PCAC play.  The Griffins are currently ranked No. 10 in the California Community College Men's Volleyball Coaches Association State Poll.
