Miramar MVB's Brody Smith Commits to Concordia

(c/o miramarjets.com) Redshirt sophomore Brody Smith is the Miramar men's volleyball program's second player in four weeks to move on to a major NCAA men's volleyball program.  Smith has committed to the Eagles of Concordia University Irvine, a member of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation in men's volleyball, and will enroll at CUI this Fall.  While a Division 2 program, Concordia's membership in the MPSF provides it with a schedule with Division I stalwarts BYU, Grand Canyon, Pepperdine, Stanford, UCLA, and USC.

A 2017 graduate of Sandra Day O"Connor HS in Phoenix, AZ, Smith was a season-long starter on Miramar's 2018 Pacific Coast Athletic Conference MVB championship-winning team.  After redshirting in the 2019 season, Smith returned to start on a Jets MVB team that won seven of nine matches in 2020 and was ranked #5 in the state, before the season was ended early due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Continuing the fulfillment of a primary goal of the Miramar MVB program, Smith becomes the 15th player to move on from Jets MVB to a four-year university's MVB program, in the last six years.
