LeDuff named Player of the Year; Landicho Coach of the Year

SAN DIEGO, CA (4/22/2023) -- San Diego Miramar College won it's second consecutive conference title after going 8-1 through the conference schedule. The Jets were lead by head coach John Landicho, who was named Coach of the Year, and sophomore outside hitter Jack LeDuff, named this season's Player of the Year. 

The Jets had four total make the All-PCAC First Team, while San Diego Mesa College had three. Grossmont College had one. For the Jets it was Parker Brown, Garrett Garcia, LeDuff and Joshua Valencia. Richard Aguiniga, Austin Kinnear and TJ Letuligasenoa made the team for the Olympians and Aaron Knudsen was the lone Griffin. 

LeDuff finished the conference season with 99 kills, averaging a conference-best 3.96 a set, and a hitting percentage of .348. He racked up nine aces, 46 digs and seven blocks. LeDuff was a leader on the court for the Jets and made his presence known. Aguiniga, a setter for the Olympians, led the conference with an average of 8.12 assists per set and finished with a second-best 226 total assists. He also led the conference with 15 aces. Aguiniga finished with 13 blocks. Garcia, an opposite hitter for the Jets, led the conference with a .503 hitting percentage and he finished the conference schedule with 97 kills. Valencia, the Jets' libero, finsihed with 64 digs, averaging 2.78 a set. Grossmont's Knudsen finished with 246 kills, averaging 3.62 a set, while Mesa's Letuligasenoa finished behind him with 236.
