The San Diego Mesa men's cross country team captured the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference title in San Bernardino on October 20, and with it comes post-season accolades. The Olympians led the conference with six harriers selected as All-PCAC.
Mesa has had quite a run this fall, winning the PCAC title and capturing the SoCal Preview title in mid-September. The Olympians will now set their sights on a Southern California championship at the SoCal Finals this Friday in Cerritos.
Before then, the conference did a bit of busy work in naming the All-Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Team as the top-15 runners at the conference finals were named to the team. Mesa led the way with six on the team, led by Isaiah Labra. The freshman from Bonita Vista High School won by 10 seconds at the PCAC Finals as Mesa ran away with the team title. Joining Labra on the all-conference team from Mesa were teammates Stefen Rasmusen, Bobbby Brana, Christian Alcantar, Jose Garcia and Nickoli Melovidov.
Both San Bernardino Valley College and San Diego City College had three runners named to the all-conference team as they finished in second and third place, respectively, in the team competition. Cuyamaca had two harriers named to the team while Palomar College had one.
