Olympian Cross Country Shines at George Oja XC Invitational

After a successful showing at the Manny Bautista XC Invitational, both the men's and women's cross country team traveled to Salem, Oregon to compete at the George Oja XC Invitational. 

According to head coach Sean Ricketts, both teams competed well, and with the conference championships scheduled for next week, both squads appear to be peaking at the right time and are ready to defend their title.

Competing against four-year programs, in an all grass course, the women's team placed 5th place behind Seattle University, University of Portland, Southern Idaho, and Pacific University (Oregon). Alexis Noble turned in a 21:43.1, placing 9th, and Sophie Moser-Smith finishing 26th with a 22:56.8. 

The men's team finished in second place  (against college teams)with Jyden Schmid placing 5th with a time of 24:09.1 and Victor Rosas coming in at 24:44.2 in 11th place.
