The Palomar College softball team captured the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference title in 2022 and finished the regular season 31-7 and ranked No. 4 in the state by the coaches association.  The Comets had 11 players and a coach named to the All-PCAC Team.

Palomar was a force in 2022.  The Comets were 10-2 in conference play, winning the conference title by three games over Imperial Valley College.   With the success comes recognition, which came this week when the coaches convened to determine an all-conference team.

Palomar had the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Player-of-the-Year in Allyson Amato and head coach Lacey Craft was named the Coach-of-the-Year.  In addition, the Comets had six other players named to the first team, three more to the second team and one as an honorable mention.

Palomar's India Caldwell, Samarah Martinez, Alexia Terrazas, Taylor Harrison, Farrah Steffany and Cadee Herrmann all joined Allyson Amato the first team while Malachy Russell-Millen, Elisa Haas and Kelly Nutter were all named to the second team.  In addition, Mackenzie LeFebvre was named to the honorable mentio team.  

Imperial Valley College had two named to the All-PCAC Team as Yeraldine Carrion was named the PCAC Pitcher-of-the-Year and joining her on the first team was Melissa Flores.  Imperial Valley had four others named to the second team with Elizabeth Salcedo, Alessandra Banuelos, Melanie Navarrete and Shaylinn Mays. 

Also included on the first team were San Diego Mesa College's Hannah Anderson and Carissa Topolinski along with Southwestern College's Natalie Sims.
