San Diego City captures PCAC badminton title

San Diego City College wrapped up its season with an 18-3 win at San Diego Mesa College on Wednesday and a 14-7 home win over Irvine Valley College on Friday to finish with a 6-2-1 record in conference play, their best since going 6-0 in 2015. 

It is the first PCAC crown for San Diego City College since winning the title in 2015.   The Knights will advance to play Pasadena City College for the Southern California championship on May 1. San Diego City will host the match, which is scheduled to start at 3:00 PM in Harry West Gym. 

The winner would move on to the state championship against Fresno City on May 9. That match will be played at Pasadena City College.
