Desert in command of PCAC Women's Golf

The College of the Desert women's golf team is in full command of the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference midway through the season.  The Roadrunners are 18-0 heading down the stretch of conference play.

College of the Desert has qualified for the Southern California Regional Finals for five straight seasons and looks like a good bet to make it for a sixth straight time.  The Roadrunners have run away with every Pacific Coast Athletic Conference match this season, winning by an average of 51.5 strokes-per-match.

Desert has also been solid at other events outside the conference, finishing fourth at the South Coast Classic, third at the Desert Classic and second at the North/South Invitational against some of the top competition in the state.

The Roadrunners have been led by a deep lineup that routinely has 2-3 players shooting in the 70's.  Desert had a season-low total of 304 at Ironwood Country Club when Lilyanna Rodriguez shot 72, Zoe Walker 75 and Dagmar Urbankova 76.

The Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Finals will take place at Sun Lakes Country Club in Banning on October 29 & 31.  The Southern California Regional Finals and State Championships will take place in November.
