SAN DIEGO, CA (10/2/2023) -- MiraCosta College's Jazmyne Arispe and Grossmont College's Daltin Collie have been named this week's PCAC Athletes of the Week.

Arispe has been a huge component in the success of the Spartans this season. Last week, the freshman forward scored one goal and recorded nine assists in two games. The Spartans are currently 6-0 in conference and have a goal differential of 46 through six conference games. The Spartans defeated Imperial Valley College 13-0 on Tuesday and Palomar College 11-0 on Friday last week. Arispe had five assists against IVC, one goal, and four assists against Palomar.

Collie, a goalie for the Griffins water polo team, has been a standout all season. On Wednesday, the Griffins opened conference play against San Diego Miramar College and won 17-6. Collie recorded 22 saves, one steal and an assist against the Jets. On Friday, the Griffins prevailed in a 12-11 overtime game against Modesto College. He recorded 21 saves and had two steals in the match.
