SAN DIEGO, CA (10/24/2023) -- San Diego City College's Isaac Velasquez has become the two-time conference athlete of the week this year, along with San Diego Miramar College's Karolina Borjas.

Velasquez, a foward on the men's soccer team, has not slowed down since he started the season. On Friday night, the Knights took on the Palomar College Comets and pulled out a 4-3 comeback win. Velasquez had all four games in the game for the Knights. Earlier in the week, the Knights lost to MiraCosta College, but Velasquez scored the lone goal for the Knights.

Borjas is currently the conference leader in goals with 15 and also leads the conference with 34 total points. Last week, Borjas scored four goals against Palomar College in a 5-2 win and scored another goal on Friday to go along with one assist against Imperial Valley College. The Jets are currently in second place in the conference with a 6-2-2 record.
