Knights Off to Best Start in Team History With Win Over SBVC
One night after posting their highest score in team history in a 98-34 blowout home win over Compton, the Knights fought off San Bernardino Valley, 76-69, to earn their sixth consecutive win with Cerina Nguyen recording season-highs in points (20) and rebounds (17). The Knights are off to their best start ever with a 7-3 record after 10 games and are two games shy of tying their longest win streak ever.

The Knights are off to their best start ever with a 7-3 record after 10 games and are two games shy of tying their longest win streak ever.
Two other Knights scored in double figures on Friday, including Christina Bowen who had 18 points, six rebounds, and five steals. She scored a game-high 26 points with six 3s the previous night against Compton.
Liliana Maldonado led the bench effort with 10 points and four assists.
San Diego City held a 16-10 lead after the first quarter and went on a 14-6 spurt in the first 4:19 of the second quarter to take a 30-16 advantage. San Bernardino, however, put together a 20-6 run of their own to tie the game, 36-36, at halftime.
The Knights responded with 13-2 outburst in the opening 2:34 of the third quarter to regain an 11-point lead. San Bernardino came back once again to get within one at the end of the third and even took a 62-59 lead early in the fourth period.
A'sontee Jackson hit a jumper with 8:18 left that started a 13-0 run to finally put City in full control of the game.
The Knights scored 31 points off San Bernardino's 33 turnovers and outscored them 17-8 on fast break points.
Chancis Allen produced nine points, five rebounds, and four steals for the Knights, while Isabella Varges provided seven points and four boards off the bench.
City will play Compton once again at the Fullerton College Holiday Crossover on Dec. 14 at 5 p.m. The Knights will then match up against Fullerton on Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. and Porterville on Dec. 16 at 3 p.m.
