ANOTHER DOMINATION FOR THE SPARTANS

ANOTHER DOMINATION FOR THE SPARTANS

On Friday at San Diego City College the Spartans executed with intensity and extreme percision. It was yet another game filled with offensive domination, as MiraCosta finished with twenty-four shots on goals and ten corners. The Spartans continue to prove that they are a top team in the conference and region.

The goals started early, when Elisa Dunn scored in the first three minutes.

Lead scorer of the game Roselyn Hernandez gained player of the match and a hat trick, scoring two goals in the first half back-to-back and one in the second half. Meomorable moments were made for the Spartan pack with the first collegiate goal for Cielo Mendez shooting outside the eighteen yard box sliding the ball into the lower right corner from a corner kick. Lena Bachman, Jazmyne Arispe, and Aleah Minnich kept their names on the score board once again with Aleah Minnich scoring in the first half and Lena Bachman and Jazmyne Arispe scoring in the second half.

The Spartans proved once again that they are not afraid to attack the goal and leave their mark with constant possession in the opponents half for over 90% of the game.

Catch the women Spartans in action again at their next home game on Tuesday, September 26th.
