Palomar captures PCAC title

The Palomar College women's water polo team captured the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference title on Saturday at the PCAC Tournament.  The Comets now head to the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) Southern California Regional Tournament. 

Palomar defeated San Diego Miramar (13-3) and Grossmont College (14-7) over the weekend to capture the tournament championship.  The Comets had six goals from Brynna Bryant in the opener to land a spot in the finals where they cruised past Grossmont, 14-7. 

Palomar was named the No. 10 seed for the upcoming CCCAA Southern California Regional Tournament.  The Comets will face Riverside City College in the opening round on Thursday at 3:00 PM.  Grossmont also qualified for the tournament as the No. 11 seed and will face Cerritos College at 4:15 PM.  All games are being played at Southwestern College.
