Mesa's Alexis Noble named 5CTCA Athlete of the Week

SALINAS - The 5CTCA has selected the follow student-athlete as Week #7 Runners of the Week. Congratulations to these athletes on their outstanding accomplishments last week.

Running on familiar turf at NTS Liberty Station, SD Mesa freshman Alexis Noble placed fourth overall in 18:50 over the 5k layout. Only an unattached club and two four year athletes placed ahead of Noble. The newcomer continued to impress as leader of the Olympians and is one of the top individuals in Southern California. 

Aaron Cohen of El Camino College enjoyed his first college victory at the Chaffey College XC Invitational. Cohen clocked 21:40 for a 10 second victory.

Diablo Valley College freshman Alan Solari is enjoying a terrific first season for the Vikings. At the Toro Park Invitational, Solari placed fourth overall and third for two year athletes in 21:37. Solari is one of the top freshman in Northern California.

Freshman Roselyn Olivo surprised the field at the Toro Park Invitational with her best race this season. She finished second in 20:05 but was ahead of two runners who had finished ahead of her at the Northern California Preview Meet two weeks ago.
